Mineral Minds: Orkney Geologists under the Microscope

The exhibition celebrates the work of two under-celebrated geologists who have lived in Orkney:
Ted Kellock was an amateur geologist whose rock slide collection is looked after at the Museum.
Matthew Forster Heddle was Scotland's greatest ever mineralogist, who was born and brought up in Hoy. The museum has collaborated with Dounby Primary School P6 - 7 on a creative project, which has resulted in pupils curating a section of the exhibition themselves, with input from Kirsteen Stewart, textile designer and Sheila Fleet, renowned Jeweller.
