Class: Bivalvia. 3 specimen. All have both valves still attached at the hinge. Very large, broadly oval shaped and elongated. Off white in colour with a grey periostracum. Clear concentric striae and growth markers. This species burrows deeply into soft sea floors such as sands and silts and can be found from the mid intertidal zone to a depth of approx. 100m.
