Class: Bivalvia. 5 specimens. 3 have both valves still attached at the hinge, while the individual left and right valves appear to have been connected at some point. Almost rhomboidal in shape, hence their name, fairly large and with clear concentric ridges and growth lines. Off white in colour with radiating bands of pinking brown, similar to Venus striatula. This species burrows into most substrates and can be found the low intertidal zone to moderate depths.
