A piece of parrafin wax washed up in Deerness (March 1986) from the wreck of the Joanna Thorden on Swona. A number of barrel-shaped lumps of wax, weighing several hundreds weight each, having been released from the wreck in recent stormsand washed up in different parts of Orkney.
