James Bremner, of Forswell, Yesnaby, Sandwick, c.1950s. He turned 100 on 24/11/1952 and was Orkney's only centenarian at that time. He was a farmer at Saltness, Longhope, until he retired. Then he went to live with his son at Forswell, Yesnaby, Sandwick. See Orcadian 19/3/1953, page 5.
