The naming ceremony for the Stromness Lifeboat, NLB Archibald and Alexander M. Paterson, on 25/8/1955. See Orcadian 1/9/1955, page 3. After the ceremony members of the platform party were taken for a trip around the bay. At the wheel are J. Adam, Coxswain, and Miss McKinnon from Glasgow. She was the cousin of the lifeboat donor and performed the naming ceremony.
