Black or Navy textile hood, decorated with beads, worn by native Canadian Aboriginal peoples. Possibly made by the same woman who made the the leggings (L1991.009). Similar five petal-flower motif. Floral design. Red and blue stroud tassel at point. Trimmed with long beaded fringe of red, white, turquoise and blue beads, with a looped end. These beads are strung onto sinew. Lined with brown velvet. Blue ribbon tip at edge.

Brought back to Stromness by Cheif Factor of Fort Chipewyan, W H Watt. One of a number of textile items loaned by his family.
