Class: Bivalvia. 3 specimen. All have both valves still attached at the hinge. Large, rounded oblong shaped with a blunt squared posterior edge. The shell is off-white in colour with a pale brown periostracum. Well defined concentric striae and visible growth markers. Can be found from the low intertidal zone to depths of approx. 70m where it burrows deeply into sands and silts.
