Class: Bivalvia. 6 specimens. 4 right and 2 left individual valves. Sub-rectangular in shape, the posterior edge is rounded with the anterior is beaked. The whole shell has concentric ribs which become more raised and waved towards the anterior of the shell. The shells range in colours from white to pale yellow, brown or grey. This species bores into peat, clay and soft rocks from the lower shore to the shallow sublittoral.
