Class: Bivalvia. 5 specimens. 4 left valves and 1 right valve. 1 left and 1 right also fit together in such a way that they were clearly from the same animal. White in colour with pale orangey bands of colour radiating from the umbo. It also has very clearly concentric striae and growth lines. The internal surface is white and glossy with a purple tinge and clear muscle scars. Found burrowing in clean sand, from the lower shore into the shallow sublittoral.
