Zoology
Class: Gastropoda. 1 specimen. Large, spiral shell with approx. 7 whorls. This specimen appears to be quite well worn but the operculum is still present but has fallen further inside the shell. This species is very similar to Buccinum undatum (the waved whelk) but lacks the more defined ridges. This species lives on softer substrates in the sublittoral.
