Original entry: Eygptian "chatti", clay water container. The hotter the sun the colder the water inside. Update NMS East Asia Review Dr Daniel Potter: slamic Egypt, possibly even the last few centuries. These type of jugs often have lids, this one doesn’t but the neck looks like there may have been one at some point. Chatti often refers to gourds, this jar probably copies their shape.
