Scrimshaw watch stand of whale teeth (2) and ebony. Scrimshaw work on sp. whale teeth - evidence that some Orcadians were engaged in the South Seas whaling. A fleet of ships based in London sailed as far as Japan, taking up to 3 years on one whaling voyage.
