Black velvet pin cushion with bead work design by Jennine Krauchi. This is an unstuffed, partly made pin cushion, the same design as 2008.5. The paper template has been left on to show how the beadwork was made. Floral motif of brightly coloured glass beads. Design inspired by historical beadwork of Metis or First Nation ancestors of the artist. A simpler design than 2008.5 with pale ping petals with dark blue centres and a green stem. The edging is done in blue and pink beads too. The thread has been left unfinished as well to show how the edging is made.
